There is a romantic view of the birth of the USA that focuses solely on the heroism of the English Catholics and the Puritans who were persecuted to the point of death during the 17th century, both in England and in Ireland. This led to forced immigration to the North American colonies, such as Maryland, which means “Land of Mary.” The great wave of immigration and settlement was composed mainly of dissident Protestants (Puritans, “Pilgrims,” and other nonconformists), so the Founding Fathers of 1776 were, for the most part, Protestants and Jews.

However, the well-known German historian Dr. Michael Hesemann revealed in his work titled “The War of the Freemasons Against Throne and Altar,” published in 2024, that it was the Masonic secret societies that shaped the United States of America. The U.S. Declaration of Independence was preceded by the American Revolution. The Freemasons—the economic elites of the time—knew how to take advantage of the immigrant masses, imbued with a Christian spirit, to place themselves at the pinnacle of political power, a position they have held to this day. For this reason, the American Constitution is inspired by Christian ideals, which facilitated the people’s support for the Masonic leaders. This is the difference compared to the Spanish American constitutions, where the Masonic spirit of the French Revolution of 1789 is evident. And this explains, for example, Masonic power in Mexico, which led to the Cristero War, in which Catholics rose up against the Masonic government at the cost of 250,000 dead on both sides.

On July 4, 1776, delegates from the 13 colonies declared the independence of the United States, thus creating the United States of America. Grand Master Mason Benjamin Franklin (1706–1790) was a member of the committee that drafted the Declaration of Independence of the newly founded “United States of America.” The committee commissioned the Freemason Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826) to draft the first version. It has been verified that 53 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Freemasons. When the United States Constitution was finally adopted in 1787, 19 of the 39 signers were Freemasons. The first president of the United States, George Washington (1732–1799), was also a Freemason. In fact, he served as Master of the Alexandria Lodge during his presidency, and at his inauguration, he took the oath of office on the Masonic Bible of the St. John’s Lodge in New York.

Donald Trump has run for office, in his own words, to “stand up to the corrupt establishment” and “end the Deep State.” In his new campaign, he promised to “drain the Washington swamp” and end the war between Russia and Ukraine in a matter of hours.

The term “Deep State” is a political slogan referring to political power structures operating outside the law within a state. It is a covert, hidden force that pursues its objectives without any official oversight or democratic legitimacy. The term “Deep State” is often used in connection with secret societies, “invisible” masterminds, or a shadow government operating in secret.

Masonic Symbolism in Urban Planning

In 1791, the Freemason Pierre Charles L’Enfant was commissioned to plan the new capital, Washington. His urban planning project was characterized by Masonic symbolism and was meticulously implemented over the following decades: the square, the compass, the all-seeing eye, the pentagram—a five-pointed star with one point facing downward, commonly used in Satanism. It appears that it is the Deep State that truly governs the U.S. and most of the world, seeking to destroy the Catholic Church, just as declared in the Masonic constitution Alta Vendita.

On September 18, 1793, the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol, seat of the United States Congress, was laid according to a Masonic ritual. George Washington was wearing his Masonic apron. The future president of the United States, the Freemason Thomas Jefferson, described the Capitol as “the first temple consecrated to the sovereignty of the people and the Deep State in the U.S.” On the reverse side of the one-dollar bill appears the Eye of Providence atop an incomplete brick pyramid. In fact, the so-called Eye of Providence remains a central symbol in Masonic lodges today. Incidentally, the pyramid was added to the one-dollar bill in 1935, during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was a very active Freemason.

The Roman numeral MDCCLXXVI on the bottom step of the unfinished pyramid on the one-dollar bill signifies the year 1776. However, this date does not commemorate the year of the United States Declaration of Independence, but rather the founding of the Masonic Order of the ‘Illuminati’ by Adam Weishaupt in Ingolstadt, Germany, in that same year. The symbol of this secret society is the owl of Minerva. And, curiously, a tiny white owl peeks out from behind the number ONE in the upper right corner of the front of the one-dollar bill.

The Growth of Freemasonry in the U.S.

In the U.S., Masonic secret societies spread more rapidly than anywhere else. In the first quarter-century following George Washington’s death, membership rose from 25,000 to 80,000, representing 10% of adult white men at the time. A century later, in 1930, there were already 16,515 lodges in the United States. From the inauguration of the first U.S. president, George Washington, in 1789 until 1933, nearly every U.S. president was a member of a secret society. In addition to George Washington, these included Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. Their administrations were also heavily influenced by Freemasons. During this period, only two of the 31 U.S. presidents were not Freemasons, but they too enjoyed the support of secret societies.

Kennedy: The Masterminds Unmasked,” subsequent U.S. presidents up to 2017 were also all Freemasons, with only three exceptions, including John F. Kennedy. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama were and are Freemasons.
