In Africa, leading countries and their official development aid organizations have always made their loans or grants contingent on the prior granting of rights to exploit natural resources. This is largely due to the corruption of their leaders. Yet this exploitation has done very little to alleviate poverty. However, the educational level of African government officials has improved significantly, and there is now an entire new generation that has studied in the U.S. and Europe. There is now a greater sense of self-awareness regarding their freedom and rights, leading African governments to use their resources for their own benefit, rather than selling them off to the highest bidder from abroad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4-i09PYpK4
Twenty African Countries Stand Up Against Ideologies
Last June, 20 African nations signed the so-called Accra Declaration in Ghana. The text is formally titled the African Charter on Family, Sovereignty, and Values and is the result of the Fourth African Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family Values and Sovereignty.
The document was spearheaded by the Ghanaian parliament, with the support of 20 African countries, and enjoys strong backing from Catholic and evangelical organizations. What does the Charter say?
Rejection of abortion in the face of pressure from international organizations or the conditionality of development aid from Western countries. Abortion is not an international right; therefore, demanding it constitutes unacceptable ideological interference.
National sovereignty in the face of the ideological colonialism of many Western countries. Issues related to the family, sex education, and reproductive health must be resolved by each nation without external interference.
The family as the basic unit of society and marriage between a man and a woman as the cornerstone of the family. Rejection of the LGBT agenda: same-sex “marriage,” legal gender change, and the trans agenda.
The goal of this “Accra Declaration” is for the African Union to adopt it as its own. That would make it a binding continental treaty for the signatory states. And it would serve as a powerful shield against the attempts at ideological colonization driving the gender or abortion agendas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH4dpNmtC08
South Africa, a Victim of Colonization
South Africa is a staunch opponent of these values, which have been abandoned in favor of the “woke” agenda. As expected, several international NGOs have also expressed strong opposition to the Accra Declaration. They argue that it represents a rollback of rights. We are referring to Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Watch, the world’s leading international organizations promoting abortion.
Furthermore, it criticizes the fact that American organizations such as Family Watch International have championed the Accra Declaration. Family Watch denies having sponsored the meeting, but supports the text and acknowledges having collaborated by advising its promoters.
It is ironic that those who practice ideological neocolonialism try to censure others for what they themselves have been practicing without any scruples for far too many years.
February 2027 will be a pivotal moment because it could provide a continental shield against the “woke” agenda of global abortionism and homosexuality.
