Words that brainwash

David Thunder, professor of philosophy at the University of Navarra, Spain, published an explanation on his substack of how, by changing the meaning of words, they can become a brutal manipulation, not only of language, but also of the masses. Below is a review and commentary on his most important points:

Words can ‘brainwash’

The language and concepts we use are labels for real objects or entities of reason. The correspondence between the extramental object and its label or word that expresses it (the verbal sign) is the condition and foundation of true knowledge. In the natural, experimental, mathematical, and technical sciences, this also ensures the truth of a posteriori conclusions. In contrast, in the humanities, the correlation between their immaterial object and its verbal expression is malleable. This has historically led to conclusions based on error, as in the case of Marxist, Nazi, and WOKE ideologies.

Tyrants have always been very skilled at brainwashing with words. They know full well that if they can manipulate people’s language, they can exercise a kind of indirect control over their thoughts. Thus, for example, critics of the state become “enemies of the state” who must be persecuted; those who speak uncomfortable or politically incorrect truths become perpetrators of ‘disinformation’; and the will of the tyrant is simply the “will of the people.”

Prof. Thunder says that all this is quite easy to see when we talk about Stalinism or some distant dictator who has no real power within our own society. But it is not always so easy to recognize when it is infiltrating our everyday language and discourse today.

Thus, there are a number of terms that have crept into Western discourse that could be described as a kind of “slave language,” because the change in the meaning of words acts as a gnoseological prison. That is, language is used hypocritically, through falsified words, to rationalize and justify the abuse of power by the promoter of such deception and to keep people mentally enslaved to a lie.

Ironically, these concepts have been developed by people who would describe themselves as “conscious,” “enlightened,” “progressive,” and “liberated,” but the truth is that they are used consciously, as part of a blatant manipulation strategy, or naively, by people who mindlessly repeat mantras that rationalize inhumanity and injustice. This mechanism appears even in the thinking of great philosophers, such as Kant, Nietzsche, and the German and English rationalists who were precursors of Marxism.

Misleading concepts

  1. Disinformation: At first glance, this means false or misleading information. But in the language of slaves, although it is presented with this seemingly innocent meaning, it actually means good information that some people find unpleasant or inconvenient and therefore want to censor or banish from the public square.
  2. Far right: The distorted version of this concept means political positions that border on madness, pathology, and irrationality, and that have violent and oppressive tendencies, with affinities to Nazism, white supremacy, and detestable political movements. It is used as a weapon against legitimate conservative political choices.
  3. Xenophobia: Xenophobia means a generalized rejection or prejudice against foreigners. But in slave-driving language, xenophobia is understood as opposition to anyone who affirms the legitimate value of the nation or national identity, or who defends the idea that immigrants must adapt to the host culture or disagrees with open border policies that allow a flood of immigrants to enter.
  4. Hate speech: This refers to an attitude of rejection towards specific groups in society, using virulent language and insults of various kinds, with the aim of presenting these groups as detestable. But in slave language, hate speech only means any speech that dares to criticize any left-wing or WOKE group. Thus, any heated political discourse outside this context is denounced as insidious hate speech, which in certain countries even has legal protection. Thus, in certain countries, the display of the Christian faith or the opinion that Islam seeks to subjugate Europe to its rule is persecuted.
  5. Tolerance: At first glance, this means a willingness to peacefully endure people, behaviors, or opinions that one finds abhorrent or offensive. In slave language, tolerance means the uncritical acceptance of every conceivable legitimate lifestyle under the sun; in short, it amounts to the anesthesia of one’s critical faculties. Thus, verbally expressing disagreement or criticism of an irregular way of life, which was previously permitted by freedom of expression, is now condemned as intolerance.
  6. Health equity: At first glance, this means a healthcare system that expands people’s access to healthcare. In slave language, it actually means extending a network of biosurveillance and coercive vaccination across an ever-widening network of nations. We have seen this in the COVID-19 pandemic. https://thinktanklatam.org/la-pandemia-preparada-desde-1990/.
  7. Digital inclusion: At first glance, this means making it easier for an increasing number of citizens to access digital technologies, but in WOKE slave language it means the consolidation of an international network of digital censorship and financial control, reinforced by a “digital identity wallet” controlled by the government or by a vertex of the Masonic new world order.
  8. Environmental sustainability: At first glance, this means achieving a stable and positive relationship between nature and human civilization. In slave language, these words mean condemning economic production and industrialization, and putting the purity of “nature” and the minimization of carbon emissions before the benefits of modern agriculture, industry, or air and car travel. https://thinktanklatam.org/1609-cientificos-el-medio-ambiente-ok/
  9. Conspiracy theorist: The natural interpretation of this term is that someone makes connections between causes and effects in an attempt to prove conspiracies promoted by nefarious secret agendas. Thus, people who suggest that big pharma and the government cooperated to impose a coercive vaccination program on the public—an undeniable fact—would be labeled “conspiracy theorists.” The pejorative term “conspiracy theorist” is also used to stigmatize as idiots the many who maintain that a globalist network and/or deep state exists, starting with President Trump, who is determined to expose the corruption and control of secret societies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZdgEeY141And

Women’s reproductive health

These words of falsification and deception deserve special consideration. This concept was coined by the globalists of the Davos Agenda 2030, with its “17 goals for sustainable development,” and is used to justify abortion. If 50 million people had not been aborted in the history of Europe, there would now be no demographic problems, nor would so many foreign immigrants have entered to fill this void.
