In the video above, Elon Musk talks about Jesus. I am very surprised by his gradual approach to Jesus, which manifests in a certain way the attitude of a growing part of the people deeply engaged in a professional work understood as a service to the people of the world.
The phenomenon of the return of Jesus
Little is said and written about this, because it is not easy to capture in words the process of more and more interest in Jesus and his teachings. I will comment on some indications to explain what I mean:
In the first place, we can observe, in the media, especially on YouTube, that the interest in the son of God is increasing, starting with the Jews themselves, that is, with the people of his race and his nation, where he was born and lived almost two millennia ago.
At the scientific level, the apparent and erroneous assumption that faith and reason can be mutually exclusive has been overcome. This problem has been the result of the prejudice, at the philosophical level, that God is not demonstrable, thus denying his very existence. Initially, this discussion was held partly at the university level, in the last centuries, but little by little this prejudice penetrated Judeo-Christian Western society, undermining some traditional convictions and shaking the institutions that were based on traditional principles.
The greatness of the West
As we said in an article on this site, the greatness of the West is essentially due to Judeo-Christianity. Those who doubt this should ask themselves why a similar phenomenon did not occur in other civilizations, which have nevertheless made very important contributions in the sciences and the arts. Like every empire, China, India, Egypt, Greece and the United Kingdom have had their ‘rise and fall’. This is a technical term coined by the British scientist Arnold Toynbee, stating that rise and fall is an inexorable law of history. But to the rise of the West this criterion cannot be applied, because it is not of a political-military order, but moves at the level of the wisdom that informs individual human behavior. La importancia de los valores
Where does the rejection of Jesus lead?
To misery, social disasters and wars. By denying Jesus and his teachings, a hegemonic country with pretensions of expansion has to rely on other ideological bases to justify its aggressions. We have seen how Marxism was imposed in 1917 and then Nazism in Germany, with a death toll of some 150 million, a slaughter without precedent in the history of mankind.
When Christian morality is rejected, among other consequences is the deterioration of the traditional family institution and births plummet. Some of the children who have been able to be born, in spite of contraceptives and abortion, have often had to grow up in problematic families, with serious consequences for their academic and social performance.
